Montpelier Woods is a well-established community of 348 homes located in Laurel, Maryland. The wooded setting, including common areas intertwined throughout the neighborhood, is what distinguished Montpelier Woods from surrounding communities when Pulte Homes, Inc. began construction in the late 1970s. The quaint colonial and split-level style homes nestled in between tree lined streets were built during 1977 and 1989. Although there have been some updates to the homes, the integrity of the original vision of this community has not changed. Montpelier Woods is bordered by Pheasant Run Community Park and the Patuxent Wildlife Research Refuge creating a tranquil setting to call home.

The Montpelier Woods Homeowners Association (MWHOA) is represented by a Board of Directors (BOD) comprised of five (5) volunteers elected by the community for one-year terms. The authority of the BOD is derived from and limited to those powers expressly vested in it by its governing documents and the Maryland Homeowners Association Act. The BOD is vested with the management of the affairs of the non-profit corporation on behalf of the member-homeowners. The BOD works diligently to plan, coordinate, deliver and continuously improve the various programs and services that association members enjoy. In addition to overseeing the covenants concerning architectural controls regarding property improvements and usage, the BOD also supports the work of the HOA’s various committees, maintains the common areas, and organizes community events and meetings.
